So I'm back...

I'm back, I'm back! I'm blogging again! So terribly exciting I know.

Not a ton to chat about at the moment. Caden's started gymnastics class :) he is obsessed with it. He wants to go every night and is really upset when I repeatedly inform him that it is only on Monday nights... It is adorable though. He runs laps around the other kids. In fact he's only been in the three year old class for 2 weeks and when I asked this Monday if I should move him to the four year old class next month they said absolutely! So proud!

Classes are going well this semester. This week was crazy busy! But I made it through unscathed hoorah!!! And MizFIT is going great! I'm the President this year!! And it is fabulous, I love it.

I think that is all I have to say at the moment. I'll be back though no worries. Perhaps with more intelligent things to say.

Hoorah! Hoorah!

I'm so glad!!! So glad so glad so glad! Finals and classes and everything is over! One grade posted A+ wooooohoooo!!!!! Starting to de-stress. It might take a while ha. I was on overload there for a while. Thankfully it is slowly surpassing.

Also started reading a new book for fun!!! Yes that's right for fun. Reading Water for Elephants. Soooo good so far and only like 40 pages in. Stoked for summer. Gonna read a lot some for fun some for not fun ha. Learning... what?? Ha.

Called and gonna start my money maker Memorial Day weekend, buuut don't even have to ask off for graduations or parties because grads happen before the pool opens and party is on a day the bar won't be open. Hoorah. Stoked. Also Ms. Rachel Crabtree is already helping me think up fun summer drinks that are easy to remember ha. Let's help Emilia to have to think as little as possible at work this summer. Hoorah.

I will be blogging lots this summer don't you worry. Nothing to do means lots to blog about ha. Oh annnnd I moved into my new place! Yay I mean I won't live there till the fall but I moved all my stuff in and I love it :)

Dreams not necessarily destroyed!!!

So, guess what I found out my dreams are not destroyed just yet! I can still apply for secret societies I think as a senior. Woo freaking hoo! I might not actually be accepted, but the dream is not dead yet!I just spent an entire class period figuring that out ha.

Crazy.

So I do realize I have been absent for quite some time. Life has gotten crazy crazy crazy. School is basically running me like a slave, but I am getting something out of it so not really an appropriate comparison. On that note however I'm stoked because I'm about to write a huge research paper that is due Monday that I of course have not done much work on and was beginning to freak out but the trusty library did me right. I've found a bunch of good material and am actually quite stoked to begin writing. So off I go. To write, and read and write and read. Awesome.

It's my lovebug Jordy's birthday week!!!! Happy birthday booboo! Having a lovely week with him :) so is Caden, he tells me on his way to daycare this morning: So Jordan is here all week? Well when is he going back to his Mommy and Daddy? Won't they miss him? Well I'm glad he's here. That means I can play with him all week. It was really cute.

In the Spirit.

So I'm sure you've noticed but in the spirit of spring I have changed my background to some lovely pink flowers. I just love flowers. I would have fresh flowers in my house every single day if I could afford it. I need to start some planted ones but I am so bad at keeping greenery alive. I forget to water them and well I just really don't have much of a green thumb. Gerber daisies are my all time faaaavs. So pretty Jordan used to bring me flowers all the time ha. How sweet.

I'm currently sitting by an open window watching Terri make a cake :) it smells so nice outside. Like summer, summer is definitely on its way. I'm crossing my fingers that although the almanac correctly predicted our last snowpocalypse their prediction that we get another 20 INCHES of snow at the end of March is incorrect. If correct that would just make me so sad. I am sooo ready for winter to move on to bigger and better things, as we all must do eventually. So winter lets get a move on!!!

I love babies. And I got to bottle feed one today and I'm so stoked to be expecting this every Tuesday and Thursday morning!!! It's going to be glorious!

So apparently...

I'm going to need to start a new hobby or something. Apparently I do not blog enough but let's be real I really don't have that much to talk about.

Other than the fact that I am ridiculously busy. I'm tired all the time. Maybe I have a thyroid problem, my mom thinks I have a thyroid problem, she says its hereditary and I have family members who deal with it, she says it can make you tired all the time. But lets's be real for one second, I practically work myself into the ground, that is probably the only reason I'm so tired all the time. I realize this so called personal 'flaw' in my work preferences and my priorities. I recently brought into conversation with both my mother and Jordan the possibility that I perhaps have the working tendency to grow into a work-aholic. This they both see as problematic and something I should work towards countering. Perhaps. Perhaps it is simply a difference in priorities or life expectancies, neither side positive or negative just different. Perhaps my life can be a both/and instead of an either/or. Both a successful career AND family instead of one over the other.

That's what I think.

Oh life.

So I just finished watching a 16 and Pregnant episode where she gave up her baby for adoption. They even had an adoption ceremony. I had to watch it for class. I'm in a class that is in fact titled 16 and Pregnant, and we watch the episodes and dissect them and read tons of other material on teen parenting from all over the world. Really interesting class actually. Buut this episode was so emotional for me :( I'm actually sitting in the library cafe with my little headphones in eating my pizza lunchable that I stole from Caden's stash ha and my Naked orange mango juice, crying a little bit at the end of the episode ha. I have been really really emotional lately. It is almost that time, and now that I only have that time like 4 times a year those times are a little crazy, and a little crazy leading up to it too ha. Anyways I have to go off to tutor but I just thought I'd share that moment.

Also:::: stoooooked for American Idol tonight!!!

My life is one long day after another...

Sooo I'm so stoked that I actually get to go to my house before it is dark. I will get to take a nap and that makes me ridiculously happy.

On another note I work at a daycare and a little girl was singing Niki Minaj the other day... wtf what is this world. These kids are also extremely mean I must say. There are these queen bee girls and they sometimes decide that one girl in the class is sort of an outcast for the day and no one can be friends with her sometimes him. It is so sad, it always causes tears. They are also so violent, this one girl she just strikes out at other children all the time. I just have not come to find my sunny place in this space.

I also have some lovely Caden stories to share ha they're just golden:

  1. Caden loves to dance. I don't know if you've seen him dance but it is beautiful, he has some seriously sweet breakdancing skills. So we watch American Idol a lot (by the way so pissed beautiful curly haired red head boy is gone and beautiful tall black man is gone - i forget their names)but we watch American Idol a lot and he likes to dance a long with the performers. One night he was copying their dance moves, move for move, asking me if he was doing it right ha so cute. But the cutest part happened when we were watching Jennifer Lopez's new music video and of course Caden started dancing along however he was quickly discouraged by his inability to dance as quickly as JLo ha. He became very upset and shouted "why can't I dance like that?! she dances to fast! i just can't do it!" ha it was a very emotional moment.
  2. On another note we were at a park recently when Caden and I had another emotional moment: Caden had been following these two girls around attempting to join in their play. In the sandbox they asked him why he was so close, they didn't want him to dig with them, they were digging here, the eventually found a different place in the sandbox to dig. Later on the playground equipment he was following them around again and again they told him to go away, that they did not want to play with him. So at this point he started sobbing with his head buried in his arms. Of course I went over to see if I could console him, telling him that I can play with him to which he responded "i wanted to make a new friend!!" so i told him that I could be his friend to which he pointed out that "you are not new and you are not little!" it was really tragic. Luckily I suggested he go ask another boy to play, so he ran right up to said little boy and asked if he wanted to play and the new friend was very excited to play with Caden so a truly tragic situation was evaded but it was totes a dodgy thing to have to deal with.

Problems with eavesdropping:

You could hear exchanges like this:

petite female and large male discussing their options for lunch. they decide on shakespears. we are outside of the student success center. she points out they should walk as it is a nice day out and it is two blocks away. he insists they go get his car which is at his dorm im thinking at center/north/south as she pointed out it was twice as far just to walk to his car as it was to walk to shakespears. his response: don't you question my authority! and so she just giggled and followed him... wtf.

I have a blog. I have a blog.

So I have a blog now. I'm stoked.

I have no idea what I will write about but let's all be stoked for me. All of the no people who will be reading this ha.

And let's be real this blog looks sweet. I'm gonna have to start doing cool things so I can write about them. Being crafty or cleaning or something I don't know. Although I will say I did clean last night while watching Top Chef Allstars. By the way sooo stoked they're all going to the finale I so called that woohoo! Buut I folded all of the laundry that has been piling up in my living room and I put most of it away. Go me!

Although... ants. There are ants in my kitchen what the eff.

In class now ha discussing gender and sports: WNBA vs NBA ha.

Also I'm pretty sure I am Jennifer Beggs Weber here is a list of why: she is obsessed with gender and does all her research on gender, she's doing her dissertation on teen fathers, we have the same glasses, she is a hippy, she talks and talks and laughs at herself, she tells her husband people pay to hear her talk and that just gets her, we have the same gestures: so yeah same person

I'm so stoked about this because I can just type and type and type and pretend that people are listening to me, because I do love to know people are listening to me when I talk. Yet here no one will glaze their eyes over or turn up the music or ignore me in some polite or not so polite way. I don't have to ask people if they heard my last sentence. I can just talk away. No worries. Love.
